Present Countinuous (Progresive) Tense

1. Penggunaan dari The Simple Present countinuous Tense

- Kita menggunakan The Simple Present Countinuous Tense ketika kita berbicara tentang kejadian yang terjadi saat kita sedang melakukan sesuatu

Contohnya :  Please don’t make so much noise, I’m studying

- Kita juga menggunakan The Simple Present Countinuous Tense keitka kita berbicara tentang sesuatu yang mana terjadi di saat kita bicara, tetapi tidak terlalu di butuhkan saat kita bicara

Contohnya : You’re working hard today. Yes, I have a lot of to do

- Kita menggunakan The Simple Present Countinuous Tense Ketika kita membicarakan pergantian suatu situasi

Contohnya : The population without jobs is increasing very fast

2. Kata keterangan (Adverbs) yang sering di gunakan dalam The Simple Present Countinuous Tense

- now

- right now

- Tommorow

- etc

3. Pola dari The Simple Present Countinuous Tense

Pola dari Simple Present Tense terdiri dari :

- Positive Pattern (Pola Positif)

S + am/is/are + Verb 4 (ing) …………………………..

Contohnya :

* I am studying English right now

* We are going to Jakarta tommorow

* You are singing now

* He is making a cake now

* She is sewing a shirt now

* They are playing football in the field now

* Tom and Ani are doing their homework tommorow

The students are doing sport now

 - Negative Pattern (Pola negatif)

S + am/is/are + Not + Verb 4 (ing) …………………………………………. now

Contohnya :

* I am not studying now

* He is not sleeping now

* My father is not watching televition now

* We are not going to Jakarta tommorow

- Interrogative Pattern ( Pola kalimat tanya )

Am/is/are + S + Verb 4 (ing) …………………………… Now ?

Contohnya :

* Are you studying English now ? Yes, I am / No, I am not

* Is he eating fried rice now ? Yes, he is / No , he is not

* Is your father working in the office now ? Yes, He is / No, He is not (isn’t)
