Uncountable Noun

Uncountable noun >> kata benda yang tidak bisa dihitung berdasarkan bahan dasarnya misalnya “milk”, susu tidak bisa kita hitung tapi kita bisa menghitungnya apabila zat tersebut sudak di kelompokan misalnya : a bottle of milk, a liters of milk. Berikut beberapa contoh noun yang tidak bisa dihhitung :

• musik, art, love, happiness
• advice, information, news
• furniture, laggage
• rice, sugar, butter, water
• electricity, gas, power
• money, currency

Dalam penggunaan uncountable noun biasanya kita tidak langsung menambahkan article a / an di belakang nounnya, akan tetapi kita menambahkan articlenya sebelum penambahan kata a something of dll :

• a piece of news
• a bottle of water
• a grain of rice

Kita juga bisa menambahkan any dan some sebelum uncountable noun, contohnya :

• I have got some money
• Have you got any rice ?

Selain yang di atas, kita juga bisa menambahkan “a little” dan “much” sebelum uncountable noun :

• I have got a little money
• I haven’t got much rice
